OUR STORY

Thonotosassa Church of God had a humble beginning in 1931 as an outdoor brush arbor meeting.

After the arbor burnt down, the congregation moved into a small sanctuary on Grovewood Avenue and worshiped there for decades.

As the church grew, so did the need for space and a new facility, and in 1982 the church's members dedicated a new property on Taylor Road which went though recent extensive renovation.

Much has changed, but some things remain the same.  Thonotosassa Church of God has continued to be known as a loving church and a staple of the community, pointing people to Christ for nearly a century, a heritage we hold dear.
