OUR STORY

Thonotosassa Church of God had a humble beginning in 1931 as an outdoor brush arbor meeting.

After the arbor burnt down, the congregation moved into a small sanctuary on Grovewood Avenue and worshiped there for decades.

As the church grew, so did the need for space and a new facility.  In 1982 the church's members dedicated a new property on Taylor Road that has served as the congregation's home ever since.

Much has changed over the years, but some things remain the same.  Thonotosassa Church of God has continued to be known as a loving church and a staple of the community, pointing people to Christ for nearly a century, a heritage we hold dear.
